CRH - Continuous Rotary Heat Sealing

Continuous Rotary Heat (CRH) technology uses a precision-engineered heated rotary sealing wheel to produce continuous, high-integrity seals for demanding production environments. Designed for continuous packaging processes, CRH delivers consistent temperature control, reliable sealing performance and high production throughput across a wide range of thermoplastic materials.

The CRH Sealing Process

Rather than using intermittent sealing jaws, CRH employs a continuously rotating heated sealing wheel. In addition, this applies controlled heat directly to the sealing point as the material passes through the machine. This continuous sealing action delivers smooth, uninterrupted welds while supporting high production speeds and consistent product quality. The dedicated PID temperature controller is supplied pre-configured for each application, rapidly reaching operating temperature and maintaining precise heat throughout production. This ensures reliable, repeatable sealing performance while providing an efficient alternative to conventional hot air and band sealing systems.

Why CRH Technology?

Continuous Rotary Sealing

A precision-engineered rotary sealing wheel produces continuous, uninterrupted welds for high-speed production environments.

Accurate Temperature Control

The pre-configured temperature controller maintains the required sealing temperature, with typical heat-up times of 3–5 minutes for rapid start-up and consistent seal integrity.

High Production Throughput

Continuous sealing eliminates intermittent stop-start cycles, supporting faster packaging speeds and increased production efficiency.

Easy Retrofit Integration

Compact, lightweight construction enables straightforward integration into both new and existing packaging machinery.

Applications and Material Compatibility

CRH technology is designed for continuous packaging applications where consistent seal quality, reliable throughput and uninterrupted production are essential. Typical applications include bakery products, snack foods, consumer goods, medical packaging and other high-volume manufacturing processes requiring continuous heat sealing.

Compatible with a wide range of thermoplastic materials including PE, PP, PS, PET, PVC and laminates, including paperboard laminates, CRH delivers reliable continuous sealing performance across diverse packaging formats while maintaining excellent seal integrity throughout production.

Engineered for Continuous Production

CRH has been designed specifically for continuous manufacturing environments. Thermal insulating wheel holders minimise unwanted heat transfer, while the unique roller anvil maintains constant weld force throughout production. Durable non-stick coatings, compact enclosed rotary contacts and removable sealing wheels simplify maintenance and maximise equipment uptime.

The dedicated low-voltage power supply and highly accurate PID temperature controller work together to deliver stable operating temperatures, reduced power consumption and repeatable sealing performance across long production runs

Retrofittable for Existing Machinery

CRH technology can be integrated into existing machinery, providing manufacturers with a cost-effective way to upgrade or adapt continuous sealing processes without replacing complete production equipment. Systems can be supplied as individual components or complete sealing assemblies to suit existing machine layouts and production requirements

Our engineers work closely with customers throughout specification, installation and commissioning to ensure every CRH system is configured for optimum performance, reliable operation and straightforward integration into existing production lines.
