LVH - Low Voltage Heat Sealing

Low Voltage Heat (LVH) sealing uses a highly conductive low-mass blade to transfer heat directly into the sealing area with exceptional accuracy and minimal energy loss. Designed for reliable sealing and cutting applications, LVH delivers high-integrity seals, rapid thermal response and low-maintenance operation across a wide range of thermoplastic materials

The LVH Sealing Process

Low Voltage Heat (LVH) technology uses a highly conductive, low-mass blade to transfer heat directly to the sealing area rather than dispersing it into the surrounding machine structure. This focused heat transfer reduces energy loss while maintaining accurate, consistent temperatures along the full length of the sealing blade.

The designated temperature controller is supplied pre-configured for the application and accurately monitors and maintains the required operating temperature throughout every sealing cycle. Typical heat-up times of 3–5 minutes enable rapid start-up while ensuring high-integrity seals are produced consistently during production.

Available with a range of sealing and cut-and-seal blade profiles, LVH systems can be engineered for individual applications and integrated into both new machinery and existing production lines.

Why LVH Technology?

Direct Heat Transfer

Heat is transferred directly into the sealing area, minimising energy loss and concentrating heat where it is needed for efficient, repeatable sealing.

Low-Mass Blade Technology

The highly conductive low-mass blade provides rapid thermal response while producing both sealing and cutting functions from a single system.

Accurate Temperature Control

Highly accurate PID temperature control maintains consistent operating temperatures throughout every sealing cycle for reliable, high-integrity seals.

Low Maintenance Design

Replaceable blade profiles, plug-in electrical connectors, durable non-stick coatings and thermal insulation simplify maintenance while maximising production uptime.

Retrofittable to Existing Machinery

LVH technology can be retrofitted to both new and existing packaging machinery, providing manufacturers with an economical upgrade that improves sealing performance while minimising downtime and installation costs.
Lightweight system design and modular components allow straightforward integration across a wide range of machine configurations.

Every installation is supported by our experienced engineers, with commissioning, operator training and ongoing technical support available to ensure reliable day-to-day operation.

Engineered for Reliable Operation

LVH has been designed to simplify maintenance while delivering consistent sealing performance. Thermal insulating blade holders reduce unwanted heat transfer, spring-loaded stainless steel film clamps protect the sealing area, while the unique anvil design helps produce clean, high-integrity seals. Plug-in electrical connectors and removable blade assemblies allow rapid maintenance and changeover when required.

The low-voltage power supply is supplied pre-wired and fully configured for the application, while highly accurate PID temperature control continuously monitors the sealing process to maintain consistent seal quality throughout production.

Multi Material Compatibility

LVH technology is used across a wide range of sealing and cut-and-seal applications where reliable temperature control, efficient heat transfer and low-maintenance operation are essential. Typical applications include flexible packaging, industrial products, medical packaging, consumer goods and bespoke manufacturing processes requiring consistent sealing performance.

Compatible with a wide range of thermoplastic materials including PE, PP, PS, PET, PVC, laminates, biodegradable and compostable films, LVH delivers reliable, high-integrity sealing across diverse packaging formats while maintaining accurate temperature control and efficient energy use.
